Ali Tolga Erendaç is the founder of Erendac Legal and a former Chief Legal Counsel with more than 25 years of experience advising banks, financial institutions, investors, and corporations on complex legal and regulatory matters.
He holds an LL.B. and LL.M. from Ankara University and a Ph.D. in Private Law from Istanbul University.
Throughout his career, he has held senior legal leadership positions within leading international financial institutions, including Citi and HSBC, where he was responsible for legal advisory, corporate governance, regulatory affairs, litigation management, and board-level legal support.
His experience combines the perspective of an in-house legal executive with the expertise of private practice, enabling him to provide commercially focused and practical legal solutions.
He has advised on a broad range of strategic projects, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, banking and finance transactions, regulatory compliance initiatives, due diligence projects, strategic partnerships, and the implementation of new regulatory frameworks. He has also led legal aspects of new business launches, product development initiatives, and complex commercial arrangements.
In addition to his corporate and banking practice, he has extensive experience in board governance, risk management, and regulatory affairs. During his tenure in the banking sector, he chaired industry working groups within the Banks Association of Türkiye and contributed to the implementation of significant regulatory reforms, including the enactment of consumer protection legislation.
He was recognized in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist for Türkiye in recognition of his contribution to the legal profession and leadership within the financial sector.
He advises domestic and international clients on corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, strategic transactions, and cross-border investments.

Mehmet Bircan Çalışkan is a Senior Partner at Erendac Legal and a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Law. He has more than 20 years of in-house legal experience advising publicly listed companies and multinational business groups across a broad range of industries, including automotive, textile, food, and manufacturing.
Prior to joining private practice, Mehmet held senior legal positions within corporate legal departments and most recently served as Head of Legal of a publicly listed company. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with executive management, human resources teams, and operational business units, providing practical legal solutions aligned with business objectives.
His practice focuses primarily on employment law, workplace compliance, executive advisory, and dispute resolution. He regularly advises employers on workforce restructuring, termination strategies, disciplinary processes, employment policies, executive employment matters, internal investigations, and labour-related disputes. His experience includes managing complex employment litigation and supporting companies in mitigating employment-related legal risks.
In addition to his employment law practice, Mehmet has extensive experience in data protection, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance projects. He has led the implementation of compliance programmes, including ISO 27001 and personal data protection frameworks, as well as the adaptation of corporate policies and commercial agreements to evolving regulatory requirements.
Drawing on his extensive in-house experience, Mehmet provides commercially focused legal advice that reflects the practical realities faced by employers and business leaders.

Nurdan Kaya is a Human Resources Consultant with more than 20 years of experience advising local and multinational companies across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, FMCG, logistics, tourism, retail, and manufacturing.
Throughout her career, she has held various human resources leadership and management roles, supporting organizations in building effective people strategies aligned with their business objectives. Her experience spans all core areas of human resources management, from organizational design and workforce planning to performance management, employee relations, and talent development.
Nurdan advises companies on the establishment and implementation of human resources policies, organizational structuring, human resources department design and optimization, workforce management, and employment-related processes. She also provides guidance on disciplinary procedures, employee relations matters, and workplace practices, helping organizations manage legal and operational risks effectively.
In addition, she works closely with senior management teams, providing strategic human resources advisory on organizational transformation, leadership development, succession planning, workforce restructuring, and change management initiatives.

Mert Atik is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in Economics at Ege University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
As part of Erendac Legal’s Corporate Governance and Advisory practice, he supports senior consultants in delivering corporate governance and management advisory services to clients. His responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of board of directors’ meeting documentation, monitoring revisions of internal regulations and corporate procedures, and supporting the management of SharePoint-based collaboration and governance platforms.
He also contributes to strategic planning and budgeting projects, supplier and expense management processes, risk matrix development, and the implementation of employee role descriptions, target setting, and performance evaluation systems. In addition, he supports various administrative, operational, and project coordination activities within the firm’s corporate governance practice.
Through his work, Mert gains practical experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, organizational management, and business operations while contributing to the delivery of efficient and business-focused advisory services.
Ece Erendaç

Ece Erendaç is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in Economics & Management – Sustainable Business for Social Challenges at the University of Florence, Italy.
As part of Erendac Legal’s Corporate Governance, Sustainability and Advisory practice, she supports projects relating to environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters, sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance. She assists clients in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, enhancing ESG practices and navigating both local and European Union regulatory requirements.
Her work also includes supporting sustainability reporting, corporate governance projects, ESG compliance initiatives and related research activities. In addition, she contributes to various administrative, operational and project coordination processes.
Through her work, Ece gains practical experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate governance and regulatory compliance while supporting the delivery of business-focused advisory services to clients.
